MISS SELMA UNIVERSITY
Selma University has named Jaserica Angion Miss Selma University for the 2021-2022 school year. The Dean of Chapel and Academic Advisor, Reverend Stevenson Tullis, made the announcement during chapel service, Wednesday, February 10, 2021 in Dinkins Hall at Selma University.
Jaserica Angion is a resident of Coy, AL in Wilcox County. Her parents are Charles and Susan Wilson. She is the granddaughter of Rosetta Angion, a civil rights worker and activist during the 1960s. Her grandfather was the first African American Tax Accessor of Wilcox County.
Jaserica is a Sophomore at the Historical Selma University, where she is majoring in Business Administration. Also, Jaserica participates in the AmeriCorps VISTA program in Camden, AL. Her passion is helping others. She is a member of the Mt. Gilead Missionary Baptist Church in Coy. Jaserica said, “Most of my time is spent with the youth in my church and my community because I believe every child is one caring adult away from being a success story.”
